Company Profile: Amble Resorts

Amble Resorts is a real estate development company specializing in ecologically and culturally sensitive resorts, including free-standing hotels and communities with both hotel and residential product.

Our developments stand at the conceptual intersection of ecotourism lodging, boutique hotels, and luxury resorts. We endeavor to bridge the gap between the overly rustic and unpredictable lodging options of current eco-resorts and local mom-and-pop establishments, and the perceived homogenized products of the major hotel operators' brands. Our customers are the sophisticated, National Geographic-style "geotourists" who seek authentic cultural and natural travel experiences, a significant and growing market segment that is currently underserved by existing lodging products.

Amble Resorts consists of two closely held LLCs, which together manage and provide equity capital for its development projects. Members include Amble President Benjamin A. Loomis and several high net worth individuals, including partners of a highly successful arbitrage trading company. Our business model is to manage the overall development process of the projects in which we invest, working closely with highly regarded and experienced architects, planners, hotel operators, and other development consultants. We also joint venture with local partners where possible.

Amble Resorts was founded in early 2007 and is currently developing The Resort at Isla Palenque and seeking development opportunities in select Mexican, Caribbean and Central American markets. Our focus is on emerging tourist destinations where new infrastructural improvements are currently underway or planned for the very near future, and where the opportunity is in or adjacent to extraordinary natural or cultural settings such as national parks or historically preserved areas.
